How do you know

If you do the right thing, do the heavens part, do you here trumps blare, or hosts of Angels sing hossannas to your name? No!!!! At best you may get a warm feeling, (hmmm could it be gas) or at worst case you may not know for years, if ever. So, why do we put ourselves thru the stress and worry about other people, ( two and four legged varieties) I think we do this because most of us remember what it was like to live in Heavenly Fathers presence and we strive to emulate him when someone comes into our care for however long we have them with us. This doesn't mean our every decision right though and this is where I think the stress comes in. So here is to all the folks with sleepless nights and sick stomaches worrying did they do the right thing, God loves ya and I'm amazed by ya.

Politics/religion

Its a sad reflection on supposedly honest and honorable men (yes its possible to be these things in politic just not easy) will not give a straght answer to simple questions about their faith, for once I would love to see someone say one of two things about their faith when asked either its none of your bussiness or Hell yes I'm a Mormon and this is what I believe.

More stories from the past

Why do people insist on asking questions they dont want answered.   Years ago, my boss built a display right infront of the counter where I worked (the autoparts store) not leaving any room for customers to pass to get to the counter, when finished (so he thought) he asked me what I thought, and for once I really tried to be good, I asked, are you sure you want to know, he said yes so I asked again hoping that he would take the hint and not ask again( no such luck) he asked again and I responded are you really sure you want to know, thinking he would look at the display and see the problem, he didnt and asked again, so once more I asked if he was absolutely sure that he really wanted to know, by now he was getting frustrated with me (still not seeing the problem) and he responded with tell me or I will fire you, so at that point I said once I tell you you may think about firing me but I dont think you will, at this point he said Damned it just tell me, so I said it was the most stupid thing that I had ever seen a manager do, that he should try to get to the counter if he wanted to fire me, so he turns around and realizes that he has totally blocked access to the counter, at this point he looks at me and says I ought to fire you, why didnt you tell me to which I responded that he was the boss and should have seen realized it himself and I added that if he still wanted to fire me I would leave now and go to work down the street after taking his two largest accounts with me.

I kept my job once again

Story from my past

I worked for an autoparts company in Houston many years ago, and I've always had a bit of a problem with saying what I think before I do (think that is), well one particularly bad day my favorite customer comes in and askes hows life, my response was its short and ugly, much to his apparent shock, so I ask if he would like proof, he never should have said yes, while this was going on I was standing between the store manager and the district manager (both of whom will remain nameless) , so I point to the district manager and say heres short and then to the manager and say theres ugly, I truly didn't notice the crowd that had formed until the entire store erupted in laughter.

I actually kept the job if you can believe it.
